Russia to treat cryptocurrencies as property
According to a report, Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government plans to recognise digital financial assets as property, which will allow cryptocurrency owners to claim and protect their property rights in Russian courts. He said that the government intends to regulate the cryptocurrency market in a civilised manner in response to the growing interest in cryptocurrencies in the country.
