Hungary plans stricter social media regulation
Hungary’s justice minister announced a new law will be coming this spring to regulate social media companies’ deplatforming policies in Hungary. The announcement comes after several platforms banned the accounts of former US President Trump. The justice minister indicated that the new law will be designed to provide transparent and due process and legal remedy for users in case of takedowns.
