Uber grants UK drivers minimum wage, holiday pay and pensions
Uber is granting from March 2021 its UK drivers worker status after the UK Supreme Court dismissed Uber’s appeal against a 2016 employment tribunal ruling that its drivers should be classed as workers. Worker status include benefits such as minimum wage, holiday pay and pensions. More than seventy thousand drivers will be affected by the company’s change in the UK.
