The Connectivity Standards Alliance unveils Matter
The Connectivity Standards Alliance (formally known as Zigbee Alliance) announces Matter, a rebranding of the Connected Home over IP (CHIP) initiative. Matter’s goal is to create a credible seal of approval for products, to assure customers they are built on reliable and secure standards and broadly compatible at scale. Overall, the coalition’s mission is to deliver open standards for smart homes and IoT devices.
