US-Russian consultations on strategic stability kick-off in Geneva
The US-Russian consultations on strategic stability kicked off in Geneva. The head of the Russian delegation, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, confirmed that ‘the issue of digital technologies and cybersecurity’ was discussed during the meeting. While both countries are in agreement that digital technologies can influence strategic stability, it is not certain that these issues will continue to be a part of the Strategic Stability Dialogue sessions. The next meeting on strategic stability will be held at the end of September.
