Spotify acquires Kinzen, a company specializing in identifying harmful content, as part of its efforts to address harmful content on its platform following a scandal involving The Joe Rogan Experience podcast spreading misinformation about COVID-19.
Spotify Technology SA, the audio-streaming company said it had acquired Kinzen, a firm that has helped it identify harmful content on the platform. The acquisition is one of the elements of Spotify’s policy plan to tackle the issue of harmful content on its service after a scandal this year over “The Joe Rogan Experience”. The famous podcaster whose podcast was hosted within the platform was accused of spreading misinformation about COVID-19.
