Argentina National board of IoT publishes the results of the first national IoT survey. The purpose of the study was to check and evaluate the status of IoT-related developments. The study’s results aim to generate public policies that have a social impact and promote new technologies for economic growth. The survey covered 154 IoT-related projects (108 related to business IoT initiatives, 22 to public universities, 6 to cooperatives, 5 to small enterprises, 3 to private universities, 3 to public organizations, and 2 to secondary schools. Five developments belong to the civic sector, unions, and municipalities). According to the results, interest in IoT was especially high in high-productivity regions; 42% of the projects relate to product development and marketing; at least 8 out of 10 developments are linked to connectivity and software, and 70% of the projects are connected to smart cities.
