Azerbaijan endorsed quality standards in communication and technology
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development endorsed quality standards in communication and technology, aligning with ITU and ETSI. Specific indicators aim to boost competitiveness.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in Azerbaijan recently endorsed a regulatory measure titled ‘Quality Indicators of Services in the Field of Communication and High Technologies.’ Aligned with international standards advocated by ITU and ETSI, the move aims to bolster competition and excellence in the telecommunications sector. Service providers and operators are now obligated to meet defined quality benchmarks across wired and mobile communication, internet services, and customer support.
In line with these developments, the Information Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA), functioning as the regulatory authority, will persist in evaluating and enhancing the quality of relevant services in Azerbaijan.
