Belarus adopts data protection regulation
Belarus has passed law No. 99-3 on the protection of personal data tp be effective from 7 November 2021. The law defines personal data, including biometric and genetic data). regulates rights and obligations of data subjects, processors, and newly established data protection agencies. Similar to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the law requires that the third country provides adequate personal data protection levels in case of transfer, otherwise a special approval by the data protection agency is required.
