Belgian DPA starts consultation on processing of biometric data
The Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données, APD) has launched a public consultation on its draft recommendation on biometric data processing. According to the International Association of Privacy Professionals, ‘the aim of this recommendation is to guide data controllers in order to enable them to apply and correctly interpret the data protection rules relating to the processing of biometric data.’ Feedback is welcomed until 1 Sept.
