BEREC launches a public consultation to update of Guidelines on net neutrality
The BEREC Net Neutrality Guidelines, adopted in 2016, has been renamed the BEREC Guidelines on the Implementation of the Open Internet Regulation and it will be updated. In order to get input from all stakeholder groups, BEREC has prepared a document with information regarding the public consultation and the work done. In addition, the major clarifications are explained in this document. According to its announcement, there has been discussed that the methods mentioned in paragraphs 69 and 70 of the guidelines would not be sufficient for traffic identification and that domain names should be considered as generic content. The contributions from stakeholders to the draft document are expected by 28 November 2019.
