Biden and Putin discuss ransomware in phone call
US president Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed ransomware in their first phone call after the 16 June Geneva summit. Biden underscored that Russia needs to ‘take action to disrupt ransomware groups operating in Russia’. He also ‘reiterated that the United States will take any necessary action to defend its people and its critical infrastructure’.
