Brazilian companies targeted by a spam campaign meant to deliver malware and steal sensitive data
Symantec has announced that it observed a major spam campaign targeting Brazilian-based companies and other firms that use Portuguese computers worldwide. The campaign, which run between 13 and 20 January, included more than 40000 emails through which attackers delivered malware in an attempt to obtain access to email accounts. From there, they could have reached sensitive information such as financial data, source code, employee information, and contacts.
