Brief Internet shutdown in Ethiopia as a cyber attack hits
According to a news report, authorities in Ethiopia briefly shutdown the Internet in order to mitigate a cyber-attack that targeted several financial institutions in the country.
The Ethiopian Network Security Agency (INSA) stated that they were compelled to shut down the country’s Internet for about 20 minutes to forestall potential losses. The Ethiopian Cyber Emergency Readiness and Response Team (Ethio-CERT) said they moved in to foil the attack before it caused any serious damage.
