Chinese company announces operating system for quantum computers
Origin Quantum, a company based in Hefei, China, has announced the release of an operating system for quantum computers, named Origin Pilot. According to the company, the system offers a series of breakthroughs in the parallel execution of quantum computing tasks, automated calibration of quantum chips, and the systematic management of quantum resources. The announcement generated mixed reactions: some experts praised Origin Pilot as representing an improvement in the operating efficiency of quantum computers, while others noted that talking about operating systems is premature, given that ‘we don’t have quantum computers yet’.
