A church in London sells a fake COVID-19 cure

A church in London is selling a fake COVID-19 cure. The alleged cure consists of a hit with a bottle of oil and some red yarn and costs £91. An employee of the Kingdom Church said to the BBC: “We are convinced this cures coronavirus. We have sold nearly 2,000 of these.” Once the news came to light, the Charity Commission, which oversees charities in England and Wales, began an inquiry into the selling of fraudulent remedies in the church. However, the church in Camberwell seems to have continued with the sale and just changed its name to “divine cleansing oil”.
