CoE Commissioner of Human Rights: Comprehensive sexual education helps protect children
The Council of Europe (CoE) Commissioner of Human Rights has highlighted the importance and right of children to sex education as it can help prevent them from falling prey to sexual abuse. It will also help build a safe and inclusive community.
The CoE Convention on Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse (‘the Lanzarote Convention’) expressed concern on the rise of online child abuse during the COVID-19 lockdown when children are spending more time online.
