Singapore CSA introduces the ‘CLS-Ready’ initiative to help manufacturers attain the highest level under the Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme
The Singapore CSA introduces the ‘CLS-Ready’ initiative to assist manufacturers in achieving the highest level under the Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme without additional costs. Application fees for ‘CLS-Ready’ will be waived until October 2022, aiming to streamline the process and encourage adoption.
After launching the CLS (Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme) in 2020, The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) introduced an initiative known as CLS-Ready. The initiative will enable developers and manufacturers to use hardware equipped with security functionalities that have undergone the necessary testing required of CLS Level 4. Therefore, they will no longer need to test their products again at the end-device level, and they will receive CLS Level 4 without further costs. Manufacturers applying for the CLS-Ready label will need to submit an application with evidence and an assessment report by an approved lab. Afterward, the CLS-Ready label will be valid for the time the device will be supported with security updates. To encourage adoption, CSA will waive the application fees for CLS-Ready till October 2022.
