Dominican Republic joins US Clean Network Initiative
The Dominican Republic’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Roberto Alvarez signed the agreement with the USA on the importance of securing telecommunication infrastructure and ensuring secure technology supply chains. The agreement also included two countries’ commitment to safeguard national security by excluding 5G equipment from high-risk vendors. According to a report, the Dominical Republic government cancelled 5G projects with Huawei in using the company’s technology in areas such as telecommunications, airports, and ports.
