EDPB opens consultation on guidelines on right to be forgotten for search engines
The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has released guidelines on the criteria for the right to be forgotten related to search engine cases according to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The guidelines detail justifiable reasons a data subject can use when submitting a delisting request to search engines, as well as exceptions to the right to delisting. The EDPB welcomes comments on the Guidelines 5/2019 on the criteria of the Right to be Forgotten in the search engines cases under the GDPR (part 1), by February 5th 2020 at the latest.
