Egyptian planning ministry launches first electronic system for ‘Decent Life’ initiative
The Egyptian Ministry of Planning and Economic Development kicked off an electronic system to buttress the ‘Decent Life’ initiative, which is designed to identify the development needs of targeted villages, prepare a plan for possible interventions, and monitor and evaluate the impact of all efforts vis-à-vis development and quality of life. The system was merged with the databases of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in order to support planning decisions. It features an automatic and instant calculation of a quality of life indicator and includes advanced analytical capabilities that can prepare performance follow-up reports to monitor the state of development in all the villages, governorates, and centres covered under the initiative.
