ETSI working group established to work on next generation Internet protocols
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute set up a working group to work on next generation Internet protocols that are better suited to the evolving network technologies. The group is expected to ‘identify the requirements for next generation protocols and network architectures’, and the issues it will analyse include, among others: addressing, security and authentication, requirements from the Internet of things, requirements from video and content distribution, and requirements from e-commerce.
