EU and US reaffirm their commitment to fight against child sexual abuse online
On the occasion of the second meeting of the U.S.-EU Cyber Dialogue in Washington, DC on 7 December 2015, the two parties affirmed their support for the implementation of their joint conclusions on overcoming obstacles in fighting transnational child sexual offenders. They also expressed support for the merger of two international initiatives,
focused on online child protection: the Global Alliance against Child Sexual Abuse Online (a joint initiative launched by the EU and the US, and currently comprising 54 countries) and the WePROTECT initiative (a worldwide initiative led by the UK Government and supported by over 50 countries, 20 technology companies and NGOs).
