European Parliament calls for greater cooperation with NATO in cybersecurity
In its resolution of 13 June 2018 on EU-NATO relations, the European Parliament calls for a more substantive EU partnership with NATO in various areas, one being cybersecurity. The European Parliament had invited EU and NATO to coordinate their monitoring activities, exchange cyber defence-related data and encouraged them to share best practices on cyber-attack attribution. The Parliament also called for a increase of information sharing between the two organisations, for harmonisation of training activities and cooperation on research and technology in cyber domain. The Parliament also stated its belief that ENISA and NATO can broaden their cooperation with ENISA’s new activities related to cyber defence cooperation.
