Facebook releases ‘State of Connectivity 2015: A Report on Global Internet Access’
Facebook has published a new report entitled State of Connectivity 2015: A Report on Global Internet Access, which shows that 3.2 billion people were online in 2015. According to the research, the increase in connectivity is mainly due to affordable data and rising global incomes. Key barriers to overcome the digital divide are related to infrastructure, affordability, availability of relevant content and digital readiness, which is closely connected to skills, understanding and cultural acceptance.
