FBI Newark Office reports increase in Sextortion Cases of teenage boys
The FBI Newark Field Office has warned parents and guardians over the increase in reports of sextortion incidents involving. Teenage boys between 14-17 years have been the target in most of the reported cases where the perpetrator has coerced and exploited the situation for financial gain.
The FBI has urged parents, teachers and guardians to be aware of what the children are doing online and to keep a tab on their online activity. FBI has shared tips to parents to protect children online, shared details of local FBI field offices and helpline details to report a crime against children.
