France launches quantum computing platform
The French government has launched a quantum computing platform designed to facilitate access to quantum machines and supercomputers for researchers and companies. To be installed at the High-Performance Computing Centre at the French Atomic Energy Commission, the platform will benefit from a total budget of €170 million and is part of France’s €1.8 billion national quantum strategy. The government intends to acquire two or three quantum hardware machines to be integrated into the platform by mid-2022.
