French Uber drivers appeal against data transfers to the USA
A group of French Uber drivers launched an appeal against the ongoing transfer of their personal data to the USA, despite the invalidation of the EU-US Privacy Shield. The Human Rights League of France and Metalaw Avocats are representing 169 Uber drivers in the appeal. The French data protection authority CNIL announced that it has transferred the case to its Dutch counterpart as Uber’s headquarters are in the Netherlands.
