The future looks smart, ISO report says
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published a new series of standards that map the information technology needs of smart cities under the title: Information technology – Smart City ICT reference framework – Part 3: Smart city engineering framework. The document describes a framework, structured in layers of information and communication technologies (ICTs), key for smart city operations. The framework also maps ICT techniques for various system entities in order to support the smart city’s business, knowledge management, and operational systems from both the horizontal and vertical engineering layers and systems
