Google faces lawsuit for having allegedly fixed ad rates with Facebook
Google was sued for having allegedly agreed on a deal with Facebook that gave the social network unfair advantages in online advertising auctions. The lawsuits were filed by two companies from Massachusetts that required class-action status for advertisers on Facebook who had similarly suffered from the agreement. The plaintiffs alleged that the deal between Google and Facebook has allowed the first to retain its dominance in online advertising while keeping other advertisers on the sideline and, therefore, limiting their revenue.
