Google helps building a digital future in Central and Eastern Europe
Google announced its first Google.org Impact Challenge dedicated to Central and Eastern Europe with a grant of €2 million in grants to organizations that are working to bridge the social and digital divide to promote inclusive economic growth and recovery. It is meant to support countries in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in their endeavour to make digital a driver of economic prosperity for the more than 100 million people who live in the region. The applications are open until 1 March 2021 for initiatives that aim to rebuild the economy with a special focus on social inclusion and restricted only on charitable projects in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Selected projected ideas will receive between €50,000-€250,000 in grant funding and possible support from Google to help with their initiatives.
