Huawei completes WACS upgrade to unveils the Africa’s longest 100G subsea cable
The second phase of Huawei’s West Africa Cable System (WACS) configured on an amplified single fibre span has been completed. This is the longest 100G submarine cable in Africa that will provide a critical link between the African and European continents. The cable system runs for 11 ,500 km with 15 landing points in 14 countries as it connects Portugal to South Africa.
