Hungary’s AI strategy drafted
Hungary’s strategy on artificial intelligence (AI) has been drafted, according to the country’s minister for innovation and technology, Mr László Palkovics. According to the minister, more than 200 institutions and companies contributed to the preparation of the strategy, which will be published once approved by the government. The document covers issues such as new data regulations, the creation of a national AI laboratory, incentives for companies, support for research and development activities, a focus on training and education, infrastructure development, as well as ethical and legal aspects. Minister Palkovics estimated that, by 2030, AI is expected to contribute 14% to the country’s gross domestic product.
