Iceland’s DPA recommends educating children about social media in light of TikTok criticism
Iceland’s data protection authority Persónuvernd has issued a statement urging parents and guardians to educate children on the careful use of social media in the light of criticism of TikTok and the investigations against the company currently underway by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) taskforce on TikTok, in relation to the alleged violations of child protection laws including collecting and processing personal information of children without consent.
