idealo sues Google for abuse of market dominance
A German price comparison company, Idealo GmbH is suing Google for €500 million for abusing its dominant position on the market. Google had allegedly altered search results in favour of Google Shopping, its price comparison product, making it harder for users to find links for Idealo. The case invokes the EU’s €2.42 billion fine on Google from 2017 for abuse of its dominant position in the search engine market.
