Indian lawmakers planning stringent measures against circulation of child pornographic material
An informal panel of upper house members of the Indian Parliament are drafting a report, expected to be released by mid January 2020, on the issue of easy access to child pornographic material, despite having stringent laws in place. It is believed that the panel may propose several measures: such as creating an international alliance to curb child pornography; and the creation of the creation of a new regulator to check cybercrimes related to children’s sexual exploitation online.
