India’s Prime Minister official website to be translated to 6 UN and 22 Indian languages
The Indian government has launched a project to redesign the Prime Minister’s official website to make it more multilingual. The project aims to increase available languages of the website from the current 12 to 28 languages including all 6 official UN languages and 22 local Indian languages. The six UN languages are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish. The Indian languages are : Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
