Instagram launches safety features to protect teens and support parents online
Instagram has announced to launch several safety measures to protect children online. These include, stopping people from tagging or mentioning teens that do not follow them, nudge teens towards different topics if they are dwelling on a single topic only, initiate a pilot of “Take a break” feature in US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Along with this the platform plans to launch tools for parents and guardians to assess how much time their teens spend on Instagram and set time limits and create an educational hub for parents and guardians.
