Intel survey: individuals willing to share personal data from IoT devices with companies, in exchange for money
A survey conducted by Intel in nine countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, France. Germany, India, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States) shows that many individuals (54% of the survey respondents) might be willing to share their personal data collected from Internet of Things home devices with companies, in exchange for money. At the same time, respondents indicated being worried about security threats from smart homes, 92% of them saying that they are concerned about their data being potentially hacked by cybercriminals.
