The IoT Security Policy Platform issued a statement concerning Internet of things (IoT) security. In its declaration the platform recognises the efforts of government agencies and various organisations in developing IoT security frameworks. The declaration reaffirms the importance of the following principles in achieving IoT security: (a) ensuring security is incorporated in all stages of the design, development, and life-cycle of IoT devices (including risk assessments, security testing, and evaluation); (b) guaranteeing personal and critical data is protected; (c) enabling users to delete personal data. The declaration concludes by highlighting the continuous work of the platform to harmonise and develop these frameworks further.
