ITU Kaleidoscope conference emphasises the notion of ‘trust’

ITU Kaleidoscope 2015, with the subtitle ‘Trust in the Information Society’, was held between 9 and 11 Decemeber. The conference aimed at identifying emerging developments in ICTs, and in particular the areas in need of international standards. This year’s edition focused on the notion of ‘trust’ and analysed opportunities for innovations embedding trust into ICT ecosystems and infrastructure. In this context, the ITU argues that cybercrime can be fought more effectively with more focus on trust and less emphasis on control.
