Kenya lost 2 billion Euro through cybercrime in 2014, a report reveals
According to Daily Notion, the 2015 Cyber Security Report reveals that Kenyan firms have lost of over 2 billion Euro (15 billion Kenyan Shillings) during last year – half a billion loss in public sector, and bit less in the financial services, among others. One of the main vulnerabilities, as identified by the report, is in unsecured routers, cameras and other equipment whose settings were left on default level, without any security protection. Most cyber-attacks are tracked to come from US and China, according to the report.
