Krygyz Republic launches new e-passport

The Kyrgyz Republic has launched a new e-passport, that complies with ICAO specifications. According to a  linkedin post by Zakhid Abdykaimov, a project analyst in the State Registration Service (SRS),  the project was coordinated by the State Enterprise “Infocom” with private suppliers providing the booklets and personalisation equipment. He also explains that the new passport has high security features but also includes aspects from the country’s environment, history and culture.
