New encryption algorithm invented by Google artificial intelligence
In an experiment of the Google Brain team, the two neural networks managed to secure their communications from eavesdropping by the third network through inventing their own cryptographic algorithm that no one understands how it works. The researchers concluded that artificial intelligence (AI) may be able to secure mutual communications on its own, without telling it which algorithms to use, yet it is less likely that the AI could be as good at cryptanalysis.
