New York Police officer charged for sexual exploitation of children
A criminal complaint has been filed in a federal court against a New York City police officer for the sexual exploitation of children online. According to court filings, the defendant allegedly targeted vulnerable children on Twitter and convinced them to send him sexually explicit images and videos. He often represented himself to the victims as a 17 year-old. It is alleged that the defendant communicated with at least 46 children between the ages of 13 and 17 and obtained at least 18 images and 33 videos containing sexually exploitative material from children. If found guilty of child sexual exploitation, the defendant faces 15 years of imprisonment.
