New Zealand to release contact tracing app
According to a report, Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern announced that the government will launch a contact tracing app, which can be best described as a ‘digital diary’. As the country is set to relax its confinement measures that have been in place to curb the Coronavirus infections, the app will help people to record their movements. Registered data would not be shared to anyone else. If a user tests positive for the Coronavirus in the future, they can use the app as a reference to notify authorities of places they have visited.
