NIST issues cybersecurity water and wastewater draft guide
NIST issues a draft guide for public comments of how to deal with water and wastewater cybersecurity related issues.
The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and its National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) released a draft project – Securing water and wastewater utilities: Cybersecurity for the water and wastewater systems sector, for public comments. The project will offer solutions for cybersecurity issues related to water and wastewater infrastructure. This project will address asset management, data integrity, remote access, and network segmentation topics, while demonstrating how existing products can deal with these risks. The draft will result in a NIST Cybersecurity practice guide. The deadline for public comments is 19 December.
