NIST issues final description for Mitigating Cybersecurity Risk in Telehealth Smart Home Integration project
NIST has issued a final project description for mitigating cybersecurity risk in telehealth smart home integration. The project aims to develop a reference architecture for integrating smart home devices with healthcare systems for telehealth programs. Interested parties can participate by sending a letter of interest as the project progresses towards creating a practice guide.
The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and its National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) release a final project description for Mitigating Cybersecurity Risk in Telehealth Smart Home Integration. The publication is part of identifying the project’s requirements, scope, and hardware and software components for use in a laboratory environment. Eventually, this project will result in a practice guide that describes a reference architecture for smart home integration with healthcare systems as part of a telehealth program. In the coming months, the NCCoE Healthcare team will publish a Federal Register Notice (FRN) based on the final project description, and interested parties can send a letter of Interest to present their capabilities.
