Ohio passes bill to expand broadband Internet access
According to a news report, the US Ohio House of Representatives passed a bill to address the lack of reliable broadband services for about 1 million Ohio households, including 300 000 who do not have any form of Internet access. According to the report, the bill, HB 13, would provide an opportunity for broadband service providers to have access to USD$20 million in state grants to expand Internet access to deprived areas at subsidised rates.
