Poland charged Amazon with practices violating collective consumer interests
Poland Competition and Consumer Authority charged Amazon with misleading about the time of concluding sales agreement, product availability, deadlines for deliveries, and consumer’s rights about ‘guarantee for delivery’.
On 1 February 2023, the Poland Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) pressed charges against Amazon. The charges address practices that mislead consumers about the time of concluding the sales agreement, product availability, delivery deadlines, and consumers’ rights about ‘guarantee for delivery’.
Since September 2021, UOKiK has been investigating Amazon operations after it received complaints about the company’s service. Amazon risks a fine up 10% of its turnover.
